  7. Nancy Jean says:

    Hi
How many courses are required to take each session? How long is each session? Also, can someone take a semester off?

    Thanks

    • Margo Eagon says:

      Hi Nancy,
Normal progress toward the MHA degree in 7 terms is maintained by registering in 2 courses per 14-week semester. Students take one course at a time, which is 7 weeks long. Students who wish to take a semester off during the academic year must keep in mind of the maximum time limit to earn their UC MHA degree. Students are required to complete this degree within 5 years or less. If a student decides to take only one semester off, they are only extending their program completion from 7 to 8 terms; which solely depends on course availability. For further information, please contact an advisor at 877-398-2000.

  9. Josh says:

I am currently a senior at UC’s BSN program and have also been working in a hospital for one year. I am looking to apply for graduate school directly after graduation but I was unsure if my undergraduate work experience along with my in class clinical hours would contribute to my hospital experience. I understand this program is aimed towards working professionals but I plan on working also during my time in school I just wish to go straight into my graduate program rather than take a break and risk not going back.

    • Margo Eagon says:

      Hi Josh,
Thank you for your comment. In order to be considered for admission into the UC MHA program, you must have a minimum of two years of professional healthcare work experience. We do count part-time and full-time professional work, however, academic work experience, such as clinical hours and internships, cannot be counted towards that admission criteria. If you have two years of RN experience by the time you graduate, then you would be eligible to apply to this program. I do recommend that you contact me before applying-I want to ensure that we more thoroughly discuss the admission requirements. Please call me for additional information at 877-398-3050 ext 5038.

  10. Kaur says:

I have done bachelors in Pharmacy from India and want to pursue this course. Am I eligible to apply for this program? What other factors can increase my eligibility?
    Thank you!

    • Margo Eagon says:

      Hi Kaur,
As an international applicant, you must submit your foreign transcripts to an agency recognized by NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluating Services; http://www.naces.org) for an international evaluation. A letter grade (A, B or C) and earned credit hours must be provided for each course. We do recommend World Education Services, you may visit their website at http://www.wes.org/. Once you have completed this process, we will then be able to confirm your conferred bachelor’s degree and GPA equivalency. To further discuss your next steps, please feel free to give me a call at 877-398-3050 ext 5038.

    • Margo Eagon says:

      Hi Jim,
Thank you for your comment. We do not require the GRE for admission. To determine if you meet the academic requirements, you must have your international transcripts evaluated by an accredited transcript evaluation service. In addition, we do not require any form of specific work experience.
