Health Systems Management Capstone

Course Description

The final course to be successfully completed before the granting of the MHA degree is the required Capstone Project for a total of 6 credit hours. The Capstone Project allows students to integrate their increased knowledge and skills in health care administration and management as well as to demonstrate their analytical and interpretive skills. Capstone Projects combine practical experience using a research model approach and culminates with a written report presented to faculty and peers. Students will be required to research the management problem from his/her workplace that was selected in HCA 7091 and apply their knowledge, skills and competencies gained in the MHA program through an integrative experience in the health care field and present their written reports to MHA faculty and peers before the MHA degree is granted.
